About the artist
Hi, I'm Wren.
I'm a glass artist working out of a small studio on the Oregon coast. Most days you'll find me at the furnace, turning a pipe of molten glass at 2,000 degrees — or at the bench, cutting and leading a stained glass panel one piece at a time.
My work is shaped by the shoreline outside the studio door: the greens of kelp beds, amber late-afternoon light, and the soft frosted edges of sea glass. I love the moment glass stops being liquid and holds a shape — it keeps a record of every breath and turn that made it.
Hot glass
Free-blown vessels, floats and lighting, gathered from the furnace and shaped with traditional wooden and steel tools.
Kiln glass
Fused platters, suncatchers and solid cast sculpture, built in layers and fired over days in the kiln.
Stained glass
Leaded and copper-foil windows and panels, from small hangings to large architectural commissions.

First class at a community hot shop — hooked after one gather.
2013
Apprenticed for four years with a Venetian-trained gaffer in Seattle.
2018
Opened Hollis Glass Studio in a converted boat shed in Port Alder.
2022
Began teaching weekly classes and added a full stained glass bench.

“Light & Tide,” first solo exhibition, opens at Driftline Gallery.
